Catherine tutored my daughter for her ALevels and made a significant impact - moving her grade up from B to A. Catherine’s approach, based around exam questions and exam techniques, alongside a lovely friendly approach, was spot on. Highly recommended.

Catherine’s tutoring helped my daughter massively in Biology getting into her firm choice for Medicine. She started off at a high B and ended up a few marks off an A* in a span of 3 months. She is knowledgeable and helpful, planning out the lessons in advance and provides excellent resources and feedback after each lesson, which helped my daughter improve. She talks through exam questions as well to help with application. I cannot recommend her enough!

I can’t express enough thanks for the commitment and hard work that Catherine put into tutoring my son. Her dedication to improving his results paid off throughout the time they worked together as his grades continually improved. This was no mean feat and my son expressed how Catherine had quite simply been his favourite teacher when compared to all others - coming from a student who initially found the huge amount of content in the A Level Biology syllabus very daunting and hard to manage. Extremely lucky to find Catherine in the vast pool of biology tutors out there. Catherine is professional, nurturing, understands her students and above all knows how to teach. Being an examiner, she also knows the exam techniques needed to get those extra marks. She has taught my daughter for two years A level Biology and we couldn’t have done it without her.

I really cannot recommend Catherine more highly, she is quite simply an exceptional teacher. Catherine has tutored my daughter in her Biology A Level for the last 16 months during which time, and thanks to her expert and sensitive tutorage, my daughters understanding and enjoyment of the subject has increased hugely and as a result of this, she has gone from a predicted C grade to an A/B (with an A in her mocks). Catherine is a very patient and approachable tutor , and is incredibly supportive and caring - my daughter has struggled with her mental health during her last year of A Levels, resulting in lots of missed school and low confidence, and I genuinely believe that Catherine's calm and supportive tutor sessions, always followed up by lovely positive e-mail's to my daughter after each session, have made a massively positive impact on her mentally and on her confidence overall. She went into her final A level last Friday feeling very positive and so well prepped by Catherine, and my daughter and I cannot thank her enough for all she has done to prepare and support her with her Biology A Level.

Catherine has proved to be a warm, friendly and thoroughly professional tutor. She has worked hard with our son during his final year of A Level Biology. Catherine was always very prepared for the sessions and supplied detailed resources beforehand, tailored to each area of revision. Catherine would aim her support carefully, promote self-confidence and was always positive in the online sessions. Communication between Catherine and ourselves was regular, specific, informative and constructive. Thank you for your support Catherine - we all really appreciated your hard work and encouragement.

My child had been tutored by Catherine for only 5 lessons. Her teaching was straight forward feedback and next steps were provided after each lesson which was helpful. My child feels more confident despite only having a few lessons with Catherine. It is shame that Catherine could not carry on tutoring due to her other commitment which was unexpected.

Catherine has been absolutely fantastic for my year 13 daughter. Lockdown hit and we knew she would benefit from additional support. She’s bright and does pretty well but we were looking for that added ingredient to secure and A or A*. I’m pretty confident we found the perfect support.
She has designed really focused sessions with detailed materials tailored to the areas my daughter has asked for help. She has helped to de mystify sone of the more challenging areas of the syllabus.
Catherine is an experienced tutor but is also an examiner so she really understands what is being looked for and has given my daughter insight into HOW to approach and structure answers. She has given my daughter lots of helpful feedback and I love her really positive, motivational style that instils confidence. She also maintains contact with me as a parent which has been really helpful and reassuring.
The final proof will be in the results but I would thoroughly recommend Catherine and certainly plan to use her again if my younger child takes biology too.

We wanted to feedback that we found Catherine to be an excellent tutor. From the first email she was professional and informative and continued to be so in all her replies. On her weekly meetings with our daughter she provided the highest standard of teaching, care and support that we could have wanted. She kept us informed of our daughters progress in a very constructive style especially when our daughter was struggling, and her continued support meant that she taught her right up until the night before the final exam. Catherine is a wonderful tutor. She helped my daughter develop her exam technique, as well as go over the course content in detail that was given in a clear and easy to understand way. Just wanted to provide feedback to you on your tutoring with my son for his iGCSE Biology. You were a fantastic tutor for him, prompt and very well prepared, having discussed with him in advance the areas of biology he wanted to cover. You explained aspects of the course to him carefully and provided information, practice questions and papers which you then spent time going over with him to show him how he could improve his answers. You gave him excellent tips on exam technique which helped him go from a shaky A in his mock exam to a confident A* in his actual iGCSE in a few short months. He is now doing really well on his A Level Biology course and gets great enjoyment from studying biology. Thank you so much for your time and efforts on his behalf and I would highly recommend your services.

Although it has only been a couple of week's since my brother started his Biology tuition with Catherine, my mum and I have really noticed the difference.

He is able to understand topics better, and he tells us that Catherine's explanations really make the concepts stick. Catherine has also had a hand in getting my brother organised in relation to finally finishing off his first draft of his personal statement. Her prior experience in teaching and Sixth Form administration is invaluable.
