I am a highly experienced teacher who delivers outstanding lessons. I am friendly and approachable and really enjoy helping others learn. The reason I became a teacher was because i got so much joy out of tutoring others. I am not judgmental, I appreciate that everyone learns at a different pace and sometimes a little help is needed. I am a highly organised individual, my teaching is creative and out of the ordinary which helps bring dull subjects to life.
I am the Lead Practitioner in Science in an Outstanding School. Before my teaching career, I was a peer mentor to younger students in school. At university I was a tutor at a volunteer homework club, I tutored a primary school student for her 11+ exam which she achieved an A.
Initially I will carry out a gap analysis to access the tutees' needs, this ranges from a short conversation and looking through books/foldesr of work to getting feedback about current test scores. I then prioritise topics and try different methods to see which style will suit the learner.
