I have a PhD in Cardiovascular Pharmacology from King’s College London, and a First class BSc degree in Physiology & Pharmacology from King’s College London. I have experience teaching university undergraduate students, and more recently tutoring GCSE science and A level Biology. I worked as a research scientist at both King’s College London and UCL before taking a career break to start a family. I’m a very approachable and reliable individual, who is keen to help young people get enthusiastic and passionate about science.
I have experience in tutoring science at GCSE level (Biology, Chemistry, Physics; AQA and Edexcel), and A level Biology. I also have experience in teaching undergraduate university students (physiology & pharmacology), specialising in cardiovascular sciences.
I also teach piano, and have over 15+ years experience teaching piano to students (having obtained grade 8 piano myself whilst in sixth form).
I therefore have extensive experience in how to communicate with young people, and help students to learn. Encouragement is key, and I believe that there are no stupid questions!
Learning key topic areas, especially areas in which the student is least confident. And importantly how to answer exam questions, which is an art in itself.
I welcome all questions and make the sessions very interactive.
