Catherine's Feedback

Catharine was an excellent tutor- our son went from a B grade to an A* in his GCSE with her input and gained in confidence with his essay writing skills. Apologies for taking so long to do the feedback! We would recommend Catherine without hesitation.

My daughter found Catherine of great help in such a small period of time (tuition started from January till April). When she first started tuition with Catherine her English grade was averaging a 'C', thanks to Catherine's tuition lessons she achieved an 'A' on GCSE results day.

After the first few sessions, we are confident that Catherine knows what she is doing! She is very well prepared, with an excellent knowledge of the particular English gcse syllabus my daughter is studying.

Catherine is excellent in teaching, my 12 years old daughter has had over 10 lessons with Catherine already and she has improved a lot. My daughter is quite confident in taking entry exam to Sevenoaks School in October.

Catherine gave a fantastically quick response to my initial query through First Tutors, hence we were able to sort out a convenient time for tutoring very rapidly. Catherine has continued to respond to any text/email, virtually instantly. Catherine has a lovely manner and has instilled great confidence in me as the parent and after just one tutor session, my daughter already feels more confident in the expectation of the examining board, with regards to how to answer questions appropriately.

Just what I needed!!! Punctual, calm and knows exactly what she's doing.

My son has now received his GCSE results and is delighted to have obtained an A in English Language and B in English Literature. Higher grades than predicted by his school and although the grades are down to his hard work there is no doubt that the tutoring from Catherine played a major part in his performance. I have watched as my son's confidence, ability and enjoyment of the subject have grown and grown. Catherine was an excellent tutor for my son, she had a natural empathy with him, was kind, understanding , made him believe he could do well and made his sessions enjoyable. We cannot thank her enough for her input into his exams as we believe her tutoring not only helped him in English but in other essay based examinations. We shall miss our weekly sessions, thank you so much Catherine!

Catherine has been an excellent help towards my as re-take, I entered the exam feeling confident and greatly encourage due to her adivce and revision techniques. I find her very approachable and I have gained many valuable tips from her.
