Whilst studying for my Open University degree, I developed a successful career within performance management. Once my degree was completed, I obtained my PGCE and became a teacher. I have since expanded into tutoring.

Tutoring Approach

I like to build a positive relationship with the children in my care. As part of the first session, there will be time dedicated to getting to know the child, their academic information (such as what they enjoy and what they find challenging) and their personal information such as interests. Through this, it will help me tailor our future sessions and design lessons that the child finds engaging. It is useful to also have some information from the child’s current school about what they have found challenging within a school setting.
