I was raised in the Czech Republic and attended Czech schools. I then attended a British secondary school and completed my IB diploma in the UK. I was subsequently awarded a degree with High Honors Musicology and East Asian Studies at a four-year college in the United States. I was a teacher at a high school in Daegu, South Korea from 2019 to 2020, and beginning September 2020, I will begin my MA studies in Music at SOAS.
I worked as a Czech tutor for three years and taught English as a second language in Daegu, South Korea as a Fulbright Scholar. I have experience teaching complete beginners as well as more advanced students who followed my more rigorous syllabus.
I believe in no hierarchies between students and teachers and am of the opinion that there is no difference between a student and a teacher: everyone is simultaneously a student and a teacher. I also like to take an individualized approach to teaching a language when possible.
