I am a compassionate person who is dedicated to creating a positive and supportive environment. I enjoy helping others feel happy and empowered, and I can provide guidance to build confidence in their decisions and abilities. I strive to challenge the misconception that only certain types of people can succeed in maths, making it more accessible and enjoyable for all.
With a decade of teaching experience across both secondary and primary schools, I have supported students aged 8 to 18. I have worked in state-maintained schools, serving as Deputy Head of Mathematics, as well as in independent schools, where I ran maths clubs to foster interest in problem-solving. Additionally, I have taught in specialist schools that cater to students with specific needs.
Having once found maths challenging and somewhat dull in school, I discovered its richness through its history and small personal achievements, which led me to appreciate its brilliance. A key aspect of my teaching practice has been identifying areas of underachievement and implementing targeted interventions to boost students' confidence and develop their skill set.
