Charlie's Feedback

Charlie's response time and communication via FT was excellent, but being a newbie on here I was a little too keen and hadn't cemented availability before I proceeded forward. Unfortunately, as a result it wasn't possible for us to work together at this time.

My daughter Amy was struggling quite badly with maths so Charlie parachuted in to the rescue. She has already moved up a grade in maths and is far more confident than she was in the subject. Charlie is now going to support her until she sits her GCSE's next year as they have built up such a lovely relationship. I cannot speak highly enough of Charlie. In our experience he delivers results and is able to build up wonderful rapport with his students.

Charlie has helped my son by explaining complex A level physics in an easy and understandable way. The tutoring has been has been extremely beneficial and has helped my son achieve excellent results in tests at school.

Charlie has been great with my son. Goes at his pace but also keeps on at him when he hasn’t sent any work over. This is what is needed for my child highly recommend.

Charlie has been an excellent Maths tutor for our 10 year old daughter in preparation for her year 6 SATs. He is a very experienced and professional teacher, always calm and reassuring, but most importantly he gives my daughter confidence in her abilities. He doesn’t just correct my daughter but asks her to explain her thought process. All lessons are prepared in advance and very well structured. He is very clear and concise in his lessons while offering feedback and homework after each lesson. Charlie always updates on the topics covered and sends a summary of the lesson as well as comments where he would continue to focus in the next session. I would highly recommend him.

I am an adult learner with specific learning challenges, since leaving school I have had limited to no confidence when approaching any sort of mathematical queries and always revert to a calculator (**E-mail Address Removed**)

To combat my nerves I decided to enrol onto an online Adult Numeracy course with the aim of gaining the equivalent of a C grade GCSE. I quickly realised that I would need some extra tutoring so I apprehensively reached out to Charlie. What I was immediately struck by in our initial online exchange was that he asked WHY I had reached out, there was no sense of just taking on a student for the sake of it. I am around 3 lessons in with Charlie and I can honestly say that no one has ever taken as much care with my learning experience, during the lessons I feel genuinely supported in a safe space (the latter is very important to me.)

Lessons via an online platform makes my time management very easy and when I needed to reschedule a lesson Charlie was very understanding and worked with my schedule without fuss to find a more appropriate day/time. The software he uses during lessons is very accessible and definitely helps my particular learning process. We often explore various methods when tackling a subject which I have found very helpful and the manageable homework sheets really help me pin down what I have learnt that week. While I might never be a Maths whizz, and I still get pre-lesson nerves (I am only human!) I am already feeling a little more confident.

Overall, Charlie is a very patient, kind, and supportive tutor who I would have no qualms recommending to anyone with, or without, specific learning challenges.

Charlie is extremely knowledgeable in teaching Maths and also Physics. He is very to the point, firm where that is needed, supportive where that is needed and ensures the students get on with the job at hand. He is well organised and has been a great help and made a big impact on our son! We can only highly recommend Charlie as a tutor!

Great tutor. Charlie has been helping our 2 boys with GCSE preparation and Maths. It's been great so far, the boys enjoy going to the classes and seem to be responding well to the teachings

Charlie has been excellent. Prompt responses and clear communication throughout. He has a great style and approach to teaching - clearly an experienced educator. Really glad to have started GCSE maths lessons with him for my child.

We were not able to proceed with this tutor as he is not able to start early enough in line with my request - so we wilL need to transfer the fee over to a tutor that has better availability - JOANA who has agreed with my requested start date. Charlie was very helpful and understood exactly what specific topics I am struggling with on the first session. He gave me excellent advice on how I should revise and I am very excited to start improving my maths skills!
