An inspiring, self-motivated primary school teacher with a wealth of experience in teaching across the primary age range for over 25 years. I have strong awareness and passion for children's learning and development. I enjoy being part of and encouraging inclusive education and promoting positive learning techniques. During my teaching career I have been solely responsible for leading a variety of subjects and innovations. I am currently working as a Mathematics tutor 1-1.
I have taught in the primary sector - both state and private school - for over 25 years becoming an Advanced Skills Teacher. I have worked as a 1-1 tutor for over 15 years with a 100% success pass rate for both GCSE and entrance exams.
I have a natural rapport with children and therefore build up a positive working relationship very quickly. I am an open and honest person and always strive to build children's self-confidence, as I believe this is vital to their success. I begin by getting to know the child, so they feel comfortable as well as their strengths and weaknesses to enable us to work together to achieve their aims. It is vitally important, particularly when working online, to build up a strong working relationship both with the child and their parent/s so that we can all work closely together to achieve the end goal.
