I studied mechanical engineering and did PhD in management. I made very good grades in GCSE Maths, A-Level Maths, GCSE Physics and A-Level Physics before I could be allowed to study engineering.

You will notice that my charges are considerate in comparison to other tutors and what you will get as value for money. Lessons will be held online or in a suitable environment for learning in your home if conditions are right and there must be an adult in the house during tuition if you are 16 years old and under.

Tutoring Experience

I have over 18 years’ experience of teaching in Higher Education in the UK and abroad and 4 years of teaching GCSE tutorials in the UK. I have been a tutor to four students who received private tuition in GCSE Physics. One student made A*, one made A and two students made B results. Each one of my students recorded a significant improvement in comparison to the predicted grade before the tutorial commenced.

Tutoring Approach

My passion for tutoring started when I was a student and I was appointed a tutor in the department of engineering mathematics. My students made good improvements on their grades and they told me that they enjoyed the sessions because I made learning fun.

The secret to my success is the ability to discover how you learn best and apply that knowledge in the lesson plan. The overall objective is to enable you achieve the best grade you can.

I will use the same approach in your case. The following are what you will get if you sign up with me to tutor you.
1. I will assess what you have covered in GCSE Physics so far and what you need to learn in order to improve your grade.
2. I will develop a timetable specifically for you to increase your knowledge and understanding of Physics and improve your grade. Each student has a tailormade timetable.
3. You will work through GCSE exam questions right from day one and you will learn the correct way to present your answers in the exam.
4. One tutorial class will be used as preparation for the mock exam in your school.

5. There will be a test in April to ascertain an expected grade.
6. The month of May will be dedicated to improving your grade.

Lesson duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Topics: you will be told the topic and the expected learning outcome in advance so that you/the responsible adult is in a position to monitor your progress. This will be as per your tutorial timetable.

Homework: I will give you homework or use your school assignment where appropriate to assess your understanding of what I taught you.

Under age student: If the student is 16 years old and under, there must be an adult at home during tuition.
