I am very hard working, dedicated and passionate person. I maintain professionalism and integrity in everything that I do.
I have always loved helping others and sharing my knowledge which I was able to demonstrate when I previously volunteered with a young person’s mental health charity. Here I was able to inspire young people to lead healthy, fulfilling and respectful lives and share this information with those around me.
I consistently involve myself in wider school activities to become part of the community and also to engage with professional practice and further develop my teaching strategies and skills.
I have recently completed my first year of teaching, during which I gained a vast array of skills and knowledge which I will utilise in tutoring to the best of my ability.
I have had the responsibility of delivering the following courses during my time at St Andrew’s and St Bride’s:
• S1 PSE
• BGE Science to S1 and S2
• National 5 to S3-S5
I frequently engage with SQA guidelines, BGE Es and Os and other staff members in my department to ensure I am providing my pupils with the most up to date and relevant course material to not only include delivery of the knowledge and understanding elements but also developing skills that pupils can use outside the classroom. I consistently apply BGE benchmarks and skills to report on pupil progress.
I have been complimented on my kind, calm, caring nature which I always express in and out of the classroom.
I have such determination to succeed myself in all that I do but also to see my pupils thrive and be happy. I put my all into every lesson I teach so that I am providing pupils with the best experience possible.
