Chor Lam

Hi, I am Gordon. I am a Graduate of Cell and Molecular biology and gain my degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, I am currently a master's student studying MRes Brain Science at the University College London. I have a great affinity for Neuroscience and Biology and am also passionate to share my knowledge in Biology.
The MRes program has also afforded me the opportunity to communicate ideas clearly and accurately. Members of our research group all work on very different projects and, as we specialise in our own field, it is easy to overlook the fact that our work could be difficult to understand. In our weekly meetings, I have the opportunity to improve my communication skills. These experiences led me to develop a repertoire of strategies to explain abstract and unfamiliar concepts and I believe this will be very useful in teaching as well.
I understand the difficulties of studying biology and am dedicated to guiding students to achieve better in the field of Biology.

I have been a private tutor to HKDSE Biology students. I have also been a volunteer teacher before .

I love to explain basic theory and knowledge to students in a fun way rather than telling them to remember facts . I also like to focues on what student don't understand and encourage them to think .
