My name is Chris, I have almost completed my PhD in Chemistry with close to a decade of experience in industrial and academic settings both in the UK and abroad. During my undergraduate degree I majored in chemistry but also studied biology and mathematics to Masters level. For my PhD, I specialized in organic synthetic chemistry with medicinal applications.
I have tutored students working towards GCSEs and A Levels, and have also headed training, seminars and lectures to undergraduate and postgraduate students during my PhD.
I believe it is best to remember things through understanding rather than memorization. It makes any curveballs easier to navigate and allows a buildup of knowledge when concepts become more challenging. Closer to exam time, it's all about playing the game by answering clearly and quickly using the key words and phrases to pick up marks. For this there is no better training than past papers and answering exam-type questions.
