I have been involved in educating students for over 35 years in England and abroad. I have a wide experience as well as achieving outstanding results including Excellent School Inspections.

Currently I run an Educational Consultancy business (consultancy work is listed as Study Skills on this website)

Away from teaching I exercise daily as I am passionate about health and fitness. I also eat healthily though have a weakness for proper coffee and chocolate! I enjoy going on family walks in the countryside. I enjoy lots of kinds of music and compile my own playlists. I have produced a number of plays and musicals in schools.

Tutoring Experience

International & UK.

I have been a Headmaster for 16 years and have an M.A in Language in Education and a BEd in English & Drama. I was also awarded a Fellowship in Management at London University.

I have tutored PGCE Students at the Institute of Education at London University running seminars and supervising Teaching Practice. Currently I run an Educational Consultancy business (consultancy work is listed as Study Skills on this website) and am working as a University Link Tutor with Year 1-3 Students as well as PGCE.

I have also directed Summer Language Schools for over 10 years and have undertaken one to one English conversation sessions abroad and in the UK.

I am a very experienced teacher of English (incl as a Foreign Language).
My subjects have included English, Drama, Current Affairs as well as Greek Myths and Legends.

As a teacher and Headmaster I have had considerable experience helping students with study skills, public speaking and interview techniques - I am happy to offer a Mentoring Service to adults.

I was educated at the King’s School, Canterbury before going on to Exeter University where I gained a BEd in English and Drama before going on to the University of East Anglia to complete an M.A in Language in Education. I also TEFL qualification at the University of Kent and M.A in Language in Education. I have also worked at London University tutoring and mentoring PGCE students before and during Teaching Practice.

I am a qualified “Motivational Map” practitioner - identifying what drives and sparks each individual and then assisting identifying next steps.

Learning should be fun when possible and I treat each person individually helping them to achieve their potential. As an experienced leader I also enjoy mentoring and motivating people including leaders and aspiring leaders. I work with children of all ages as well as adults using role play and other drama techniques when appropriate to boost confidence and make learning meaningful and fun.
