Chris is a very good maths tutor. He has been tutoring our daughter who will be taking math GCSE in 2025. He has a deep understanding of the subject and is able to make it accessible. He is a patient teacher who takes the time to explain each topic in sufficient depth to help her problem solve the questions. We are grateful that Chris tutoring our daughter and helping her to develop her interest and confidence in the subject.

Chris is tutoring my son who is year 13 studying maths and requires an A minimum in the subject for his chosen Uni/course. My son didn’t take his year 13 mock seriously and achieved way below what he was capable of. Chris is an exceptional tutor and has helped my son in his weak areas and to consolidate his maths overall, he has helped him stay focused and to build up his confidence again after his poor mocks. Chris took the time to find out about my son’s personality and maths experience which has helped him to deliver positive and constructive tutor sessions. My son enjoys the sessions and can really see the benefit, Chris is able to convey the most difficult of topics in a way that makes it easier for my son to understand and remember, sessions are flexible and structured to cover areas that my son identifies either on the day or in advance. I receive detailed screen shots after each session of what was covered and these can be used for review/further revision if required. Paper 1 went really well today, which my son has attributed to all the help from Chris. We are sure that an A grade is very much achievable and both my son and I would 100% recommend Chris as a tutor.

My son has really enjoyed his lessons with Chris. He’s grown in confidence and is much more optimistic about the upcoming GCSE exams in maths and further maths. I would highly recommend Chris as a tutor. He’s knowledgeable, extremely professional and easily approachable.

We are very pleased with Chris's tutoring our daughter since the last year .My daughter who will sit her A levels this year is now a lot more confident with Maths. Chris has helped her build confidence in the subject and and has helped her in bringing clarity to the various topics in the curriculum. He is very patient and has a calm approach to teaching which makes a conducive environment to learn a complex subject like Maths. When looking at a question together, he nudges you to find a way to approach the question and explains the reason behind doing certain mathematical steps. This was very helpful for my daughter as she often finds it hard to understand certain methods from textbooks. After Chris started teaching my daughter her AS level grade went to A straight away. I am glad we found Chris.

Chris was incredibly thorough and methodical in his approach, he allowed me sufficient time to ask questions and he checked understanding before we moved to the next subject. I would definitely reach out to Chris again for support with revision.

We sought Chris's help relatively late on in my son’s a-level maths revision process - during each 1hr session my son asked Chris to go through questions he had struggled with on past papers.

Chris is clearly an extremely competent a-level maths tutor, as in every case he was immediately able to explain how to answer the question, pitching his responses at just the right level for my son. His style was to guide my son to find the method for himself, but still working concisely, enabling several topic areas to be covered in each session.

I'm confident that Chris would be equally as good at providing ongoing long-term support for a student.

Chris tutored my daughter in the immediate run up to her maths A level. He has been great, very responsive to what she wanted to focus on, good clear explanations and communication also with me.

Chris is really helping my son Jack with A level pure maths with statistics and mechanics. He is building his confidence and helping with those topics that Jack feels are his weakest. Chris is an excellent tutor! Our son enjoys working with him, especially the fact that Chris takes the time to let him try to find a solution on his own, and only helps when he is really stuck. His explanations are easy to memorize because they are clear and logically structured. The interactive whiteboard is very helpful and all their work from every session is saved and can be reviewed later. We strongly recommend Chris as a Maths GCSE tutor!

Chris's calm approach helps enormously when explaining even the most tricky topics. To ensure I really understand a particular topic Chris will use more than one method to reach the solution to questions.

Chris has been an excellent Maths tutor for my son. His confidence has increased dramatically as his understanding has increased. Chris is very patient and supportive and in a very short time my son has started to enjoy maths. The online tutoring has worked really well and enabled us to maintain the tutoring through the various lockdowns. He sits his GCSE's this year and is now planning on taking maths at A level. Six months ago this would not have been an option.

My son was tutored in A level maths by Chris for 6 months. He was struggling a lot with maths and Chris helped him fill in the gaps, work through his problems, even improve his confidence and together, massively improve his exam success. The big thing that Chris did that did and the advantage of Chris's one to one tutoring is that he explained clearly why it Nathan should tackle a problem in a certain way and why this solution worked. His college teachers do not seem to do that, and as a parent, I understand because I learn in a similar way.
Chris tutored Nathan before and during third lock down which meant a lot of the lessons were remote. Nathan was particular receptive to the in person teaching and adapted well to chris's remote approach using an online white board for workings.
We especially appreciated the extra effort that Chris put in to schedule a number of sessions just before exam time.

Would thoroughly recommend Chris. My daughter is in yr13 and found the endless disruption caused by covid has really knocked her confidence. Chris has provided excellent 1:1 zoom sessions every week that have provided the extra support she needed. He is professional but also very approachable, which is just what you need in a tutor. Chris is an excellent tutor.
He has helped my son significantly improve in Mathematics A-level course since the pandemic started in 2020 and his teaching strategies are second to none.

Chris provides materials after each lesson based on the topic being taught to further prepare my son and develop his confidence.

Chris has been (and still is!) a brilliant maths tutor for our son Billy. He started working with him in January this year, in preparation for Billy's GCSEs this summer - now cancelled of course! Billy made excellent progress with Chris (noticed by his school maths teacher) and was comfortably working at a level 8 when schools had to close in March. Billy has now started his A level course, and having Chris once a week to reinforce what he is doing in his online lessons is again proving very helpful. Chris has a lovely manner and is very approachable. Crucially, Billy finds Chris' explanations very clear and straightforward. The online lessons, with a virtual whiteboard, work really well. Chris always prepares for them by checking what topics Billy has been covering at school, and if there is anything particular he wants to focus on. He is also very flexible if we need to change the time of the lesson for any reason. Billy has been, and continues to be, really enthusiastic about his lessons with Chris and we couldn't be happier. I'd recommend him without hesitation!

Chris tutored my son through-out his 2nd year Alevel. Initially I was bit sceptical about on-line but it seems to work well. Chris provided regular communications and gave him additional confidence. Hopefully this will reflect in the final grades…

Many thanks Chris for all your help and support for our Chris with his A level maths over the past 6 months. We were not used to an online tutor support service and were not sure what to expect. Using skype and working on shared screens appears to have worked very well. Chris was unsure whether a maths tutor would be helpful to him or not but decided after the first session that it had been so helpful that he did want to continue and that a weekly session would be useful. We think that the regular sessions were very useful. Your support helped Chris to focus his attention on topic areas which he had not fully understood and also helped to build his confidence to tackle the more difficult problems. We would be happy to recommend your tuition and constructive approach to others. We are happy for our feed back to be provided as a reference for others who might also not be used to this approach.

Chris was very professional, always punctual with Skype sessions and happily provided feedback after each session. He helped our son with A Level maths, and it is clear Chris knows and loves his maths! His help was greatly appreciated.

All i can say is that Harrison was much more confident leading up to the 3 papers and still felt confident after them all!! Chris definitely helped Harrison understand areas he was unsure of and explained maths in a calm, friendly atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent tutoring to my son. He is achieving A in practice exams and idea was to upgrade it to high A. Chris did wonderdul job and well planned. Chris has been tutoring my son for A level maths but has also managed to provide support for some computing queries. He is working well with my son and progress is being made - not always easy with teenage boys!

I am a AS level student who is studying maths and hope to carry on to take a level maths. I realised that I needed a little bit of extra support to fulfil my potential. Chris tutoring has been excellent, he is patient, he gives clear explanations and good guidance. He is very punctuational and very flexible when it comes to organising tutoring sessions. I am about to sit my AS level exam for maths, with Chris support I now feel confident to achieve high grades in these exams.

Chris responded immediately to my request for maths tuition for my son. He began the tuition within days and has provided excellent interactive, on-line teaching. My sons grades have increased from C to A - and more importantly has gained in confidence. Chris has been an excellent maths tutor.

Chris is a great maths teacher. You can tell that he really loves maths and he delivers his lessons in calm and encouraging way. Leo (Age 12) is always able to show me what he has learnt after his time with Chris and he enjoys his lessons. Chris is flexible and is always on time. I would certainly recommend Chris.
