I am a qualified teacher living in the Leamington Spa area, with a Masters Degree in Natural Sciences (Mathematics and Physics) from Durham University. I have taught for over 10 years with great success at several schools rated "Excellent" by Ofsted. I am happy to tutor from home (either in person or online) but cannot currently travel to you. I am available in the evenings and possibly weekends - send me a message and we can try to arrange something!

Tutoring Experience

I earned my QTS while teaching at a grammar school in Sutton Coldfield. While there I was commended on my success in improving students' grades through diligent effort and explanations delivered in a very concise, accessible and easily understood manner. Since then I have prided myself on enabling my students to achieve their potential and attend such prestigious institutions as Oxford and Cambridge on a regular basis, even if from lower socio-economic backgrounds like myself.

Tutoring Approach

I have a pupil-centered approach to teaching and believe that the key to teaching challenging topics is through careful scaffolding to suit the pupil. I also believe in realistic goals and the value of working towards exams. I have significant success in preparing students for exams by analysing the best approach to exam questions and gaining marks.
