I am a GP in London, currently working for Nuffield Health, as well as in the NHS.
I graduated with an MBChB from the University of Manchester in 2017, and moved down to London where I completed my F1&F2 years at NMH and UCLH respectively, before joining the prestigious UCLH GP VTS scheme in 2020. I CCT’d in 2023, and have been working as a GP ever since.
I completed an intercalated degree in Sports and Exercise Science at Loughborough University in 2015/16, and have experience in pitch-side and sports & exercise medicine at both the amateur and professional levels.
I am a hard-working and motivated individual who always aims to do his best. I have always enjoyed teaching others and helping them to achieve their goals, and it is this passion which first inspired me to take up tutoring.
In college I spent two weeks in India working with and providing support to primary school children. We also visited three orphanages, one of which was in the slums of Mumbai, and helped the cares with their daily routines.
I also have experience working with young adults in a residential setting. In both 2015 and 2016 I spent a month of my summer holiday mentoring a group of twelve 15-17 year olds as part of the government run scheme NCS. This involved ensuring their safety in a wide variety of tasks including rock climbing, abseiling, canoeing and gorge walking, as well as promoting personal growth and the development of key skills such as public speaking, cooking, teamwork and communication and even charity work.
I have now been providing private tuition to students for over 8 years, during which time I have taught a total of 20 different A-level and GCSE students.
I feel that in the right environment every student is capable of achieving their full potential. In school the difficulty often lies in the inability to provide a teaching style that will be appropriate and beneficial to every child in the class, and so often those who do not work best from traditional teaching methods are left without proper guidance and help. As well as focusing on identifying each students strengths and weaknesses, I aim to introduce a rewards scheme in order to get the best out of them.
I also see weekly progression and review of topics as an essential part of learning, as seeing this development helps boost students self-confidence and motivation, as well as their understanding of the subject. I encourage my students to ask questions and be inquisitive, as I find that they are much more capable and willing to learn if the subject interests them. Ultimately I aim for them to enjoy themselves and want to do better week-on-week.
