I have been a primary school teacher now for almost 18 years and graduated from Glasgow University, Scotland in Primary Education. I have a wide range in teaching from Nursery right through to Year 6 and have a lot of experience tutoring 1:1, helping children gain confidence as they complete their annual national assessments.
I am currently living in Rhiwbina, Cardiff.

Tutoring Experience

I have been teaching now for nearly 18 years and have training in the Early Years, lower school with most of my experience in the middle and upper school. I am a class teacher in Year 6 at present. My experience has also allowed me to work with children with additional support needs and children requiring one-to-one teaching.

Tutoring Approach

I am a very friendly and approachable person and employ interactive methods in my teaching. I have high aspirations and expectations of the children I teach and help them to gain confidence in their own abilities through the use of praise and by breaking the learning and teaching into smaller manageable tasks. I believe that encouraging the children to ask questions and to think more in depth about their work encourages a greater level of understanding.
