I am an ex maths school teacher, teaching for about ten years and have continued with one to one private tuition on a fairly regular basis to 'A' level standard. Since leaving teaching I have run a building company, a restaurant, and one or two other smaller projects. I have also played semi professionally in various bands all my life. Throughout my varied career I am fully aware of the importance of maths in our ever developing world and personally still really enjoy the subject and the challenge of tutoring students to achieve their goals. I have a DBS certificate.

Tutoring Experience

Eight years teaching in secondary schools up to 'A' level standard. Several periods of supply teaching. Many years of one to one tuition in both Maths and Guitar. Due to the recent pandemic I now do tuition on line (via Zoom) although I still prefer face to face tuition.

Tutoring Approach

Very relaxed attitude giving the student the time and impetus to reach positive results through his or her own thought process. Always encouraging and positive and most importantly trying to create an atmosphere where the student is actually enjoying what he or she is doing.I have an excellent success rate with previous students.
