Our daughter's Chemistry mock result was a 5 - Chris raised this to a 7 at GCSE: the result speaks for itself, highly recommended.

Chris is an excellent A-level chemistry tutor. He is able to digest and explain chemical concepts in a systematic manner. He is prompt and able to put good use of exam-style questions during the lesson to reinforce a topic.
I would highly recommend him, for those completing A-level Chemistry.

My daughter Sophie is working with Chris to ensure that she gets an 'A' grade in Chemistry so that she can go to vet school. Before her tutoring began, she was wavering between an A and a B. Since Chris' tutoring began, in the last mock that she has had results for, she gained a good A.

For Sophie, she is able to ask Chris any question and not feel that she should know the answer, this in turn is filling in all the gaps in her knowledge and making her feel far more confident.

I think that without Chris' guidance, knowledge, patience and teaching skills she could dwindle to a B or even a C and so we are extremely pleased to have him as Sophie's tutor.

Chris very clearly, explained the complex topics that I didn't understand but also helped me through previous topics that I'd forgotten about.
He was everything that I needed in a tutor and I would have surely kept going with his lessons until my exams had the circumstances been more usual.

Chris is an excellent tutor. My daughter started chemistry A-level tuition with him after receiving a Grade C in her college exams at the end of year 12. She is aiming for an A as she would like to study medicine. In the 3 months since she started the tuition I have been very pleased with her progress. On a recent college test she scored a B and college have now given her a predicted A grade. She says "Chris explains everything in a way that is easy to understand. I wish he was my college teacher. Brilliant tutor!!

Even though Chris has a pleasant teaching style. My son and husband found his material not up to date or at the required level he needed.

Chris has helped develop my daughter's confidence as well as setting her up to do well in her A level.

Chris tutored me in Chemistry (AQA) for the majority of my final A Level year. He is an excellent tutor who took the time to explain some of the more difficult topics to me and I also found the extra time to practise exam questions helpful. After a year of tutoring I achieved an A in my overall A level which i undoubtably couldnt have reached without him. Thanks Chris!!

My daughter found Chris to be approachable, methodical and extremely adept at explaining problems in a way that enabled her to understand them and to work through problems with confidence. Chris worked at her pace and did not rush through problems, this enabled her to gain the skills req to work independently. With Chris's teaching she gained a high A* at gcse 2017

My daughter had grown in confidence with her chemistry A level work. Although we only contacted Chris late in the day for tuition he managed to squeeze her in and made a difference.

An excellent and encouraging start. My son's first lesson went very well and he couldn't believe a whole hour had passed. He declared that he "really enjoyed it," and was "looking forward to next time".

That is a first to hear from my son about a maths lesson. Christopher is calm and clear and patient. I thoroughly enjoyed watching him get the best out of my son.

Chris has been a great help to my daughter assisting her to prepare for year 10 GCSE Combined Science. He is extremely knowledgable, patient and explains things in a manner which is easy to understand. We will be continuing with Chris throughout year 11. I was struggling with Biology and some parts of maths, at first I was sceptical about how useful I would find a tutor but I was pleasantly surprised by how noticeable the changes in results were. I went from a C/D in Biology to a secure B in my GCSE, my results in the other sciences and maths changed just a much as I got a comfortable B in all sciences and maths. Without this help I would have most likely not got in to the college and course of my choice without tutoring.

Chris was a great help to my daughter with her Chemistry A Level. He went through lots of past papers with her and she achieved the A grade she needed for her University course.

Prior to starting the tutoring session Chris was happy to be sent test papers our daughter had done to review so he could see what help was needed - this meant from the very first session the tutoring was very productive. Our daughter has found Chris to go at a pace that suits her learning and tailors the sessions to what she needs to focus on and improve. Our daughter has found Chris explains topics so she is able understand them and can apply her learning when doing test questions. Recent test grades have gone from a C to an A so delighted after just a few sessions that she is gaining the confidence needed to get these results.

My daughter has thoroughally enjoyed the tutoring with Chris. She feels she is learning lots with Chris and is always able to ask him about particular aspects she is unsure of. He gears each session to the areas my daughter needs support with. Her confidence has grown hugely since working with Chris and this is evident in her practice tests. I would not hesitate to recommend Chris as a chemistry tutor. We were a bit unsure about visiting a tutors house as we had not done this before. We have no issues or concerns with Chris. Chris has helped me re-learn GCSE level maths calculations to help me prepare for an upcoming job interview. Having not touched the stuff for 16 years Chris has enabled me to understand things i had long forgotten without me feeling uncomfortable about the fact that i'm into my 30's and couldn't remember GCSE level maths! Chris has helped my son with his A level OCR salters chemistry revision and exam technique. He has provided excellent help making difficult topics a lot simpler which, when put in practice, he could do with ease and managed to get the questions correct. He has also helped him with exam technique which has proved useful when answering questions as it ensured he got the marks needed without spending too long on the question or missing the point entirely.

I have found Chris very easy to communicate with and he has had my daughter and her needs at the centre of of everything. She has found the first session very useful. Chris has been a very helpful tutor for me since I started with him. I've been doing the Physics iGCSE syllabus with him even though AQA is the most common one. Despite this he has been great because he's been very flexible about it all. He's done good research to find me useful past papers on the Internet and as the syllabus is so different from AQA he's still got a good grasp on it all which shows his all round knowledge. His teaching methods are simple yet helpful as he teaches me topics I haven't yet covered and is very easy to understand and also does past papers with me and helped me with my exam technique and how to answer questions to get full marks for every question by including some key info for each question. Finally, he's very kind, calm and patient with me as he always tries to make sure I first try questions independently. In conclusion, a great tutor and I've learnt a lot, it's a pleasure to have him teach me.

My 15 year old son has been attending sessions with Chris for the last 2 months. They clicked straight away and he even enjoys this extra study time! So far our son has had 3 sessions of A-Level Chemistry tuition with Chris and the initial signs are very good.
Chris is clearly very knowledgeable on the subject and has the capability of putting across the more complex areas in a way that our son understands. He is also very flexible and can respond to questions on the day, rather than just a rigid. prescriptive approach.
After just 3 sessions, our son is already more confident about his Chemistry and is more optimistic about his chances of obtaining his required A grade than he was previously. It has also raised his interest and commitment to the subject.

Chris has been excellent,very friendly, and approachable. Knowledge of the subject , and ability to put it over , first class, definitely would not hesitate to use him again.
