Chun Kiat

I am Chun Kiat Ng, or you can call me Calvin. I was a Fellow at the University of Oxford guiding undergraduate students on research in biology and chemistry subjects. My students describe me as a patient and committed mentor. Tutoring Experience

I have 14 years of experience teaching students aged 12-20 for their primary, secondary and A levels education, most of which saw a great improvement in their grades. Most importantly, most of my students developed structured studying methods that will greatly help in their further studies and working life. For math, I used the Singapore method which is a highly effective method to ace the exams.

Tutoring Approach

For my students, I will usually ask them to attempt their schoolwork or extra assignments beforehand, and I'll go through the questions that they have problems with during the tuition session.
Alternatively, I can also do structured teaching to go through what they are learning in school (reinforce learning) which will help the students have a clearer understanding of the lessons and prepare them for the examinations.
