Clare's Feedback

Clare saw my daughter at an hour’s notice two weeks before she had to resit her psychology A level mock. My daughter had two sessions with her and both focussed on content, revision techniques, assessing what was going wrong and getting her on the right path, explaining what was she doing right and not so right. Sharing resources and tips on how to use technology to help her, my daughter felt more in control and less fearful. Just two and a half weeks later when she resat her mock and had put her own revision in and learning of content and applied Clare’s techniques to maximise her success, she went from a C (3 marks off a B) to an A*. She was only just in the A* star bracket but her mark went up by 27%! We can’t thank Clare enough for clearing the road for some clear thinking, manageable tools and techniques and help with content and revision tips. We will continue to see Clare over the next year to keep my daughter focussed and confident that an A/A* is achievebale for her. Something she never dreamed of before!

My daughter has found the lessons really helpful so far.

Clare was an absolutely stellar tutor. With her dedication and assistance I attained an A* at A Level in sociology, within a time frame of about 4 months. Clare's effortless ability to actively keep the study sessions engaging and enjoyable, all whilst providing a very sound and thorough education was inspiring and what I believe could be sometimes missing from wider education in general. If you are willing to put in the work, then Clare will get you there. Highly recommend! Thank you Clare for all of your help, I'm really enjoying Durham!

Abi has , so far, had 2 sessions with Clare and she has found Clare’s teaching very helpful in covering the areas of her subject that she was finding difficult. We would recommend Clare as a highly proficient teacher who will be able to improve the results of most students who seek her help.

My daughter has only been able to have 3 sessions with Clare before her exams but she has found it very beneficial. Her method of teaching is supportive, clear and specific to my daughter. In the short time that she has taught my daughter she has managed to clear up grey areas of the topic and develop exam technique. I would highly recommend her and are pleased that we found her, even though it was a bit last minute!

At the first meeting, Clare proved both friendly and positive and the plan of action she produced was clearly devised and realistic. She listened carefully to my granddaughter's present difficulties and long-term aims and provided support and much-needed encouragement.

Clare, is excellent.
Very reliable ,responsive and adaptable. Importantly she is up to date and her subject knowledge is current. Unlike some tutors we've had in the past she is a teacher, and is currently teaching, which makes a huge difference.
