I am a devoted, passionate and conscientious teacher. I have always had a love for learning and watching how a great education can transform and impact the lives of young people and adults to create analytical, evaluative and critical thinkers. When my children were young I home schooled them and saw them thrive and flourish academically. I later hosted and mentored foreign students, so this inspired me to become an ESOL teacher.
I have worked in teaching for 5 years to date and have taught in 3 diverse colleges in inner and outer London. Lessons are creative, innovative and dynamic. During a class session, learners had to call TFL to assist them with planning a journey using the notes they had prepared in their groups. This activity assisted learners to confidently control the conversation to get the answers they required.
I adopt a student-centred approach to empower, impassion and motivate learners. Learners are challenged and assessed according to their ability. More able learners are stretched and challenged. I want learners to become confident in their lifeskills and be able to competently communicate and interact with people of all levels in English.
