Colin has been exceptionally helpful and exceeded our expectations. He has literally swept up our son and provided him with much needed support in his computer science. my son said he feels like a safe pair of hands and has grown in confidence . He has only had a few sessions so far but finds Colin engaging and easy to connect with. We feel that we have been very lucky to find Colin and are confident with continued sessions with Colin that our son will
perform well in his A level in June .

A lovely tutor, kind and professional. It was unfortunate that Collin’s teaching style did not align with my son’s mode of study, so we decided not to continue with further lessons.

Colin is a good and honest tutor. He is very kind, and clear in communication. Due to tight schedule, we were not able to carry on, it is solely a time issue.

We asked Colin for help with maths for our daughter, at short notice in the last few weeks before her GCSE's, to assist with final revision on several key topics she had queries with.
Colin has been amazing. Very patient and easy to get on with. He very quickly assessed where she needed help, and immediately set about addressing any remaining gaps in her knowledge. She is feeling much more confident going in to her GCSE's now, and we are sure that Colin's assistance will have helped raise her grades when it comes to sitting the exams over the coming few weeks. Very highly recommended tutor.

Colin has been tutoring our Daughter for around 6 weeks. He is an excellent teacher and has formed a good teacher/pupil relationship. We have seen an improvement in our daughter’s confidence in how she approaches her A Level past papers. Although the proof in the pudding will be her eventual grade [she needs to move from a C/D to a B] I have no hesitation in recommending Colin.

Colin has been working with my son for a few weeks now and it's already made a huge difference. My son is about to do his GCSEs and with all the gaps in learning over the last couple of years due to Covid, it became clear he was slipping behind a bit with maths. I only wish we'd started with Colin sooner as with just a bit more time I know my son could be going for the higher maths paper rather than foundation.

My son instantly liked Colin. He puts him at ease and explains things in a straight forward way. He's grown in confidence and lots of things have now 'clicked into place'.

Colin is easy to communicate with and flexible with lesson times. I highly recommend him.

On the one lesson my son had with Colin he was pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately his availability did not match our needs or we would have continued with him.

Excellent, has really helped my son with has A level Maths. Since starting with Colin my sons confidence in maths has really grown and Colin has filled the gaps in his knowledge going into his A level studies. Nothing but praise for colin who I found on this site, he was fast to accommodate what I was looking to do, even made some improving suggestions on how I was going to go about doing these A levels, from a home basis. With plenty of course material at hand I certainly feel like I don't need any other tutoring other then what I receive from Colin.

I am at the beginning of a long and pretty hard task of home schooling maths and physics whilst keeping a full time job and If i can say one thing its that the whole daunting task seems a whole lot easier and less daunting after only a few lessons from Colin.

Would certainly recommend him to anyone.

Colin was very helpful and reliable though he was not right for my son who had not been at school for a couple of months when they met. Colin is a traditional teacher who is used to pushing pupils aiming for As and A*s and I was more interested in developing confidence and enabling a sense of achievment. But he was very helpful and pleasant.

I'm extremely happy with the Maths tutoring my son is receiving from Colin. He is very reliable and communicative with me regarding my sons progress. My son has progressed quickly and has a real confidence in his ability since starting his tutoring. I would highly recommend Colin!

Colin is a great teacher and has helped me so much. His lessons are fun and he breaks down all aspects of maths down in to understandable chunks.

I recommend Colin Duncan very highly for either science or maths tuition. He is currently tutoring my 15 year old son, Josh, in IGCSE physics. Josh is home educated and arrived on Colin's doorstep with no previous science teaching whatsoever. Tuition began in September of 2012 with a goal of taking a combined science GCSE exam in the summer of 2012. Colin quickly identified that Josh's interest and strength was more in physics than chemistry or biology and then consulted with us if Josh would like to concentrate on physics along with the maths GCSE he was already studying for. Josh jumped at this idea and if he does well at GCSE would like to take maths and physics A-level. Colin Duncan is 100% committed as a tutor. He is thorough and makes the subject great fun. I highly recommend him.
