Hi! I'm Cristina, a current engineering student at Imperial College London. I have been tutoring students of ages 5-18 years for six years and love to help my students achieve the best they can at school.
I began working for VAKS Tutoring at the age of 16 as a teaching assistant and was quickly promoted to a tutor, leading sessions with groups of children in person and then transitioning to online. For the past 2 years, I have tutored privately, enhancing the understanding of each of my students by providing lessons that are tailored to their individual needs. I provide the same quality of teaching online as in person.
I incorporate a range of learning techniques during my lessons. After assessing a student's level of understanding of a topic, I use the whiteboard to explain concepts, practice questions to improve skill, and past papers to discuss exam technique and solidify knowledge. I will set work for consolidation but always understand how busy it is to be a full-time student, being one myself, and am very happy to work on university applications, CVs, etc alongside the subject we study.
