Born to a linguist mother and engineer father, speaking 6 languages and with a background in the humanities and mathematics, my diverse, multicultural and academically rigorous background has made me a highly effective tutor in multiple subjects, notably history, literature, and languages.

Tutoring Experience

I have over 7 years of tutoring and teaching (part-time and in support roles) in the private homes of myself or my clients, online, and in British, Spanish and French private and public schools.
This experience has included students of ages 11 to University level or mature, across exam boards.

Tutoring Approach

I emphasise a rigorous, systematic, yet immersive approach to the subject.
A first objective in an introduction to the key concepts, principles and methods of the subject or area which we are studing, making sure to apply and reinforce our more abstract, theoretical knowledge with constant reference to, and immersion in, the texts, sources, or relevant examples at hand of the material around which we find ourselves focusing our study.

I aim to connect the subject matter to topics of interest and relevance in the life of the student, keeping a flexibility to induce interest and passion, and to be able to orient ourselves towards areas for improvement.
I also dedicate significant time to exam technique, essay-writing and general academic consultation.
