My Name is Dan Removed and I have been working in education for the last 18 years. I am an experienced and passionate educator who has enjoyed a successful and varied career teaching science, and also working in various pastoral roles along the way.
I initially entered education as a learning mentor in 2006, then a TA and cover supervisor, before doing my teacher training. I have been teaching science since 2013, specializing in Physics since 2014. I have taught all 3 sciences at KS3 and 4 and have taught A-Level Biology and Physics. Additionally, I have worked as assistant head of science and then head of physics, before I took on the new role of DofE manager. Over the last 3 years, I have been a private tutor, helping pupils prepare for their exams with AQA and EDEXCEL exam boards and have found the 1:1 approach of this greatly rewarding.
I want the best out of my pupils, so I encourage pupils to challenge themselves and I support them every step of the way. My approach is very much pupil-centered, and highly flexible, something my years of experience has helped me to hone and fine tune so that I can meet the needs of my students, whether that takes the form of knowledge building, application or exam preparation.
