Dan explains things really well. He is very nice and our daughter doesn’t feel judged if she gets things wrong. Dan teaches with kindness and compassion. He is very able, competent and professional and we feel confident in him as a teacher. He really knows his stuff and also knows how to put this over. After each session our daughter has said she got a lot out of it. We very highly recommend Dan.

Dan is an excellent tutor. He has a superb knowledge of chemistry and was able to tailor the sessions on the fly to whatever areas of the syllabus that my daughter needed help with that day. He is also very personable, flexible, and extremely easy to work with -- my daughter really looked forward to her lessons every week. Further, he went out of his way to organize some lab time for my daughter, who is home educated and doesn't have access to a lab. The 92% A* that she got on her Chemistry IGCSE, which she took 3 years early, is thanks to Dan and his enthusiasm for the subject.

My daughter has found Dan extremely helpful. He explains things clearly and has helped her feel much more confident about her A2 exams. He has pinpointed areas which they are going to work on and improve her revision and exam techniques. He has a lovely manner and is enthusiastic and knowledgeable.

My son was floundering with his Chemistry GCSE and then we found Dan with First Tutors. In two months Dan has turned my son's Chemistry around from a shaky C to what he is now hoping to be a high A grade. Dan is an extremely professional and personable tutor and has given my son so much confidence in Chemistry that he actually likes the subject now. Dan's enthusiasm rubbed off onto my son and it was a great pleasure to see him beaming when he came out of each IGCSE exam. Dan also gave me regular feedback which was extremely helpful. I highly recommend Dan both for GCSE and A Level and my son says, "I found Dan very encouraging and one of the best teachers I have ever had."
