A part time teacher with over 5 years of tutoring experience, and a 1st-Class Masters in Medical Engineering.

Friendly and professional, I tailor every session to fit the needs of my student. I take pride in the achievements of my students, and work hard to ensure they realize their full potential - and get the best grades possible.

Rock climbing, bouldering, hiking and cooking take up most of my free time. I'm an avid traveller, health and fitness enthusiast and self taught guitarist. I love to challenge myself and learn new things, my most recent venture being to learn Spanish!

Tutoring Experience

With 1200+ hours of online tutoring experience, specializing in A-Level Maths and Physics, I have found great success with my students improving their confidence, developing understanding, and boosting exam results by several grades! Having a background in Medical Engineering allows me to offer real world examples of the concepts being learnt. This help students develop a more intuitive understanding of what they are learning.

I have a good track record of students scoring high grades, with top 3 students from the past academic year achieving A*A*, A*A, AA in Maths and Physics respectively (summer 2022). This will be updated with the most recent cohort information in August.

On top of this, I offer support and guidance for university applications. Having been excepted into all 5 of my university choices, as well as helping dozens of students get into their 1st choices, I have a good understanding of what universities are looking for in personal statements and interviews.

Tutoring Approach

I am commited to understand the distinct learning styles and paces of my students. By tailoring each session to their individual needs, I guide and support student by either:
1. enhancing their indendent work, providing them control and independence while pushing their limits and ensuring nothing is left out.
2. or giving them direction and empowering them to aim high and work hard.

Beyond grades (which have to be top priority), I aim to nurture a comprehension of fundimental concepts. Using relatable real-world examples, we build a model of the physical world which allows us to demystify complex theories, and build an intuative understanding of the problems we come across. I believe this lays the groundwork for a life long love for education for STEM related subjects.
