I'm a drummer first and I play keyboards as my second instrument. I completed a Music Degree at London Centre Of Contemporary Music from 2008 to 2011 in Music Production and Music Performance. I have played with bands such as Myke Masters Band, Rio Kai Trio, Zara Mcfarlane, Jazz Jamaica, Dylema Collective, Ciyo Brown, The Rezidents and many others.

Tutoring Experience

I'm a Drum Tutor at 3 London Secondary Schools
I also teach privately in my spare time at student's homes or in a rehearsal studio
I have been teaching drums from March 2015 in schools and since 2014 privately.

Tutoring Approach

I teach sight reading from Rockschool and Trinity exam boards, from Grade 1 to grade 8. I don't only teach how to read drum notation.

I also go through warm up routines, how to play along to various different songs, basic rudiments and I use a lot of content from the Tommy Igoe Groove Essentials book in my lessons as well as other books.

I have access to a lot of backing tracks and songs that I use regularly in my drum lessons. With whoever I teach I first will find out what music you are into, what your goals are, we will agree on a plan and work towards it.

For keyboard lessons I go through basic scales, chords, fingering and mainly teach from the initial grades and grade 1 sight reading from Rockschool. After I have done 3 to 6 months of keyboard teaching, I would recommend the student to other keyboard tutors who can take them to the next level
