I am a friendly and patient primary school teacher holding a PGCE with English specialism from The University of Middlesex and also hold a bachelors degree (BSc Hons) in Psychology from the University of the West of England. I am available to tutor primary school children in Maths and English, preparing them for SATS, clearing up areas of difficulty or simply boosting their confidence.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught all age groups, have a wealth of experience in preparing children for their SATS and am a SATS examiner. I also have experience in teaching children with special educational needs.

Tutoring Approach

I am a firm believer that teaching is a two way process and through trust, communication and fun, misconceptions can be identified and explained effectively. There is never a "right" way to teach a new or difficult concept or idea and one of the things I enjoy most about teaching is finding a way to achieve that light bulb moment with individual children.
