Tutoring Experience

Secondary school teacher for just over20 years. Worked in challenging schools and until recently was on SLT. Want to re focus on classroom practice. I’ve filled a variety of roles in school and continue to work hard to improve outcomes for students. I have filled the role of DSL and a number of pastoral roles in school. Being a parent helps me understand the challenges that face families.
I still love teaching and always endeavour to ensure students achive and enjoy. The large uptake my classes have at KS4 and my continued success at ensuring students achieve at least their potential testifies to this.

I always endeavour to make history relevant to learners and encourage a real spirit of enquiry. I am enthusiastic about my subject and seek not only to endure learners achieve their potential but also have a love of history that ensures future success. I love all aspects of History and understand that key skills that underpin historivcal study and their relevance to the wider world.
