I believe that every learner can succeed. I have been a teacher, subject leader, examiner and school leader for many years and I am passionate that education can be the key to achieving life chances. Prior to becoming a teacher I was a researcher.
I have taught GCSE and Level science for over 30 years across several schools.
I have led science in 4 schools and have been part of several international collaborations in science and mathematics. I have been an examiner and principal examiner at both GCSE and A Level
I believe that building confidence in learners is the key to success. We build on prior learning with good questioning and evaluation. This allows us to plan bespoke next steps with modelling, explanations and practice and to overcome misconceptions. This allows learners to develop knowledge, skills and understanding to apply in new contexts.
