I am an ex University Lecturer in German, French and European Studies
I taught 26 years in Universities. Also teaching EFL. I was Head of the German Dept for a number of years and also E-Learning Coordinator for the Faculty of Humanities
I am currently only teaching online as I am taking immunosuppressants.
Languages are learnt primarily by learning to speak and structure your own sentences. Grammar learning supports this and speaking helps consolidate grammar acquired. Repetition of structures is also a useful tool for consolidation particularly where structures differ from the mother tongue.
