I am a fully qualified and experienced teacher specialising in Maths and teaching English to speakers of other languages. In Maths I can offer specialised support from Key Stage 2 to GCSE or Functional Skills levels 1 and 2. For Esol students I can work from absolute beginners up to specialised business English or IELTS preparation.

Tutoring Experience

I have over 30 years teaching experience in schools, colleges and social care provisions. I qualified initially as a primary school teacher working across the curriculum and primary age range. I worked in a language college for a year teaching English as a second language and have spent the last eight years teaching in various social care provisions and working with learners from 12 years to adult and at all levels.

Tutoring Approach

I have a calm, relaxed and positive manner and will adapt my teaching style and resources to suit the individual preferences and learning style of my student. We don't all think and process information in the same way and I will find a way to adapt my teaching to best meet your needs.
