I am a mum of three with vast, and current teaching experience. The main benefit of one-to-one tuition is that the tutee's needs, strengths and weaknesses can be focused on. I have been in the classroom for over three decades and have met every type of child that you can find, from those with special needs in a large comprehensive to the prospective candidate for Oxbridge. I am good at putting children at ease and increasing their confidence, so that they are able to achieve their full potential. I’m now retired from daily teaching but still work as an examiner for AQA in the summer term.

39 years and counting. Have now retired, having taught in a large mixed Comprehensive (22 years) and an Independent Day School for girls.

Tutoring Approach

You may think you understand a lesson or idea, but the real test of your understanding is in trying to answer the questions. So, I look at lots of past papers with my students as well as ensuring the basics are thoroughly understood.
