I am a result driven individual, continuously learning and attending courses to improve my knowledge and understanding of the Psychology specification and examiner requirement. This allows me to provide students with the best tools to achieve maximum marks.I am strong in all areas of the specification including Research methods, statistics and essay writing. I aim to be realistic in the amount of support your child would need and can break down the content to make it more manageable if needed.
For English Tutoring:
I have taught both KS3/4 English
I provide support for KS2/KS3 students who need to develop their basic english skills including;
Comprehension, reading, poetry, spelling and grammar.
Currently: Head of Psychology (3years)
Teaching: 8 Years
Exam Board: AQA
Years: GCSE & A' Level
Subjects: Psychology
I have taught English for 3 years (Uptill GCSE). Along with teaching English I provided 1:1 support with developing literacy skills for low ability students and SEN students.
Psychology: My tutoring approach is focused specifically on what is needed for the exam. The first session we will assess what topic areas need the most work and what skills need developing (i.e. essay Q), a plan for the future tutoring sessions will be developed accordingly. Assessments and mock papers will also be integrated into some of the sessions. In school marked mock tests can be reviewed to see what areas need improvements.
English: My tutoring approach is to do an assessment on the first session and create a plan to work on core literacy skill based on this. All tasks given with be small manageable chunks.
