I am a Masters graduate from University of Kent who is very passionate in teaching students and spreading knowledge.
I have been teaching foundation year students Graphs and Geometry and supporting their example classes.
This requires me to prepare ahead of classes and be able to answer questions the students may have on this topic.
I've also been marking foundation year, first year and second year papers for subjects: Graphs and Geometry, Economics, Proofs and Numbers.
By marking papers, I am aware of the level of understanding the lecturer requires from the student.
Furthermore, I have also been giving one-to-one tutoring sessions to students in person and via an online medium
I would be mainly focussing on preparing the student for his/her examinations and getting an understanding for the subject.
Where time permits, I would cover the chapters/lectures and then do past papers for each chapter/lecture covered. This way the student would be confident with the chapter they have studied.
Closer to the exam time, I would usually help the student with their doubts and questions they cannot attempt and supply them with external sources of questions that may provide them with further practice.
If the student requires further explanation, i.e., covering pre-requisite modules, I would help them with it.
