I was born in France so french is my mother tongue. I got the BTS electrotechnical which is the equivalent of a HND. For that diploma I obtained a A* in maths as well as english and a A in physics. I've been in London for about two years now. I'm fluent in English and French and I'm learning Lingala.
I've been doing maths tutoring for about 5 years as secondary work. Always very visible results have been seen. Actually one of my student got his bachelor with a B* as his maths level was around C when we first started courses. I've been teaching children, teenagers and adults.
There are no hopeless situations. I really enjoy dealing with people and I go along very with everybody I'm meeting. Regarding the methods I use, I like to use booked from WH Smith if we need to see a specific point. Then when you actually need to apply it I like to put my students in an exam situation with services who help them to practice what they learn. Regarding french tuitions, the best thing is to put the student in the context where he will use what he just learned. I like to emphasize the importance of correct pronunciation. One good tool for that is Youtube or watching the news in french.
