I prepare actors either applying for drama school or preparing for professional auditions (including screen work). I also work with clients interested in getting in to acting, or those with previous experience looking to hone their craft. I have sat on the audition panel at the Bristol Old Vic and have over fifteen ten years experience as an actor, appearing in Sherlock, Wonder Woman 1984, Disney's Cruella, The Last Kingdom, and many more.
As an actor my television work spans BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Netflix, Amazon Prime as well as films on general release. Credits includes Sherlock, Utopia, Bletchley Circle, Life in Squares, The Eichmann Show, Casanova, Silk, Casualty and Midsummer Murders.
At drama school I was the winner of the Actors Centre's Alan Bates Award for outstanding newcomer, as well as nominee for the Spotlight Prize and recipient of the Robert Hole Bursary for outstanding performance in the classical term. I am signed with Independent Talent.
Auditions are hard. You can so easily lose what you set out to do when you get in the room. This has certainly happened to me but in my experience working on material together beforehand will better prepare you to give the most unique, embodied and memorable performance you can while avoiding the usual mental traps that leave you feeling it went badly. This can mean working in a myriad of ways: analysing the text, exploring what's blocking you, or simply getting on our feet and shaking things up until something unexpected emerges. It may take a few sessions, it may take just one, but I am confident that in working together we can get you to the next level.
