Hi, I'm Edward. I am currently a medical student at Lancaster University. I have recently completed my A Levels achieving 3 A*s in Biology, Chemistry and Geography and an A in Maths. I'm keen to help students to achieve the best they can by providing tailored sessions to ensure the lesson is enjoyable and helpful. :)

GCSEs: 9 9s including Maths, English and Sciences and 3 8s.

Tutoring Experience

I have had experience teaching younger students at my local primary school in a session called 'SATs boosters' by teaching them maths and English.

Tutoring Approach

Prior to the lesson, we will discuss what the student wants to learn and I like to use the specification for the subject to teach my students what they need to know for their exams and the exam techniques that will help them achieve their grades. Having had success using them to achieve my own grades. I understand how important it is to break down a subject to make it easier for a student to understand the core ideas of a topic and I like the lesson to be interactive by asking them to think aloud and apply their knowledge to past paper questions. This ensures that I know they have a good understanding of a subject so that they can excel in their studies.
