I'm Ed - I'm a third year medical student at Plymouth University. I have 4 years of teaching experience and attained a grade of A in 4 A-level subjects (Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Physics).
Aside from studying I love music, travelling, cooking and a mixture of sports (tennis, football, golf, cricket, etc).
I first started teaching in 2021 while completing my A-levels and have continued to do so throughout university via Zoom. I teach at a tutoring company in Sheffield where I have tutored between 150 and 200 students which has allowed me to develop teaching skills and build on my own confidence in each subject. I've taught a wide range of students aged 11-18 including experience with SEN.
As a medical student, I love science and that passion comes through in my teaching.
I always start by asking if there are tests/deadlines coming up and if there is anything in particular you'd like to go through. I tend to structure my sessions with course content at the beginning then ending with practice questions to apply that knowledge.
This isn't a concrete structure and I'm always happy to change approach week to week or student to student.
