Working with students to improve their understanding of a subject area has become a passion over a number of years. I started informally teaching as I entered university, ranging from family friends to ERASMUS students at university. Now in my second year as a practising structural engineer with a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil & Coastal Engineering, I believe I possess the requisite foundation of both knowledge and understanding in order to communicate effectively to the next generations the various concepts they will face in relation to Mathematics and Physics which have become my specialty.
My initial tutoring experience took place in the form of A-Level tuition three years ago. Since then, I have informally taught at a range of levels including 11 plus and GCSE. Upon completion of postgraduate studies in September 2016, I decided to become a formal tutor and extend my services from A-Levels right down to 11 plus exam preparation.
I have a patient approach to tutoring whilst I utilise visual materials, conversation exchange and exam techniques to actively help students gain confidence in reaching solutions independently and ultimately realise their potential.
