Hello! I'm a PhD student and tutor specialising in Philosophy, Ethics, and Religion, with a long-standing passion for helping students engage deeply with big ideas - and succeed academically. I’ve consistently excelled in Religious Studies from GCSE (Grade 9) through A Level (A*), culminating in a First-Class degree in Philosophy, Ethics, and Religion.
As a tutor, I’ve worked closely with students across ability ranges, tailoring lessons using evidence-based techniques like active recall, spaced repetition, and exam board-specific strategies. My aim is always to create clear, structured, and thought-provoking materials that empower students to write high-level answers with confidence.
Beyond tutoring, I’ve developed award-winning curriculum resources for national education projects, contributed to theological publications, and presented academic research in university settings. I believe Religious Education is about more than grades - it’s about developing critical thinkers, reflective learners, and empathetic individuals.
My teaching approach is student-centred, academically rigorous, and rooted in critical thinking. I tailor resources to suit a variety of learning styles, drawing on evidence-based methods like active recall and spaced repetition to maximise retention and understanding. Every resource I use for the sessions is designed with the exam board’s assessment objectives in mind, helping students develop the analytical and evaluative skills examiners are looking for. I aim to create an inclusive learning environment where students feel confident exploring complex religious, philosophical, and ethical ideas. Above all, I strive to foster both academic success and personal growth - encouraging students to think deeply, engage respectfully, and grow into thoughtful, empathetic individuals.
