Hi, I'm Eleanor, a primary school teacher from Lancashire. With 14 years of teaching experience, I've come to cherish the joy that learning brings to children and the delight of seeing them grow and progress. Outside the classroom, I enjoy keeping active. I love to run, swim and walk in the Lake District relishing every moment of free time I can grab.
I have many years experience of teaching in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 and have thoroughly enjoyed being there to guide my students along the way. I've have supported children with a variety of special educational needs, each one bringing their own unique challenges and triumphs. Whether it's been in the role of a tutor, providing one-on-one guidance, or as a class teacher, preparing students for SATs, every moment has been an opportunity to make a difference and watch these young learners shine. In addition, I've been lucky enough to teach overseas in international schools, giving me a solid understanding of different backgrounds and cultures, all while still delivering the National Curriculum for England and Wales. This experience has enriched my teaching practice and broadened my perspective in ways I never imagined.
My teaching style is rooted in being friendly, patient, and approachable, creating a supportive environment where every student feels valued and encouraged to thrive. I believe in using a diverse range of resources, from traditional texts to interactive technology, to cater to the unique needs and learning styles of each individual learner. By adapting and embracing different approaches, I aim to foster a dynamic and inclusive environment where every student can reach their full potential.
