Hello, I'm an enthusiastic University of Bristol Biochemistry graduate. I have just started a Masters at the University of Sheffield in Human and Molecular Genetics. I enjoyed school a great deal, however, I do remember the pressure that came hand in hand with exams and the relief it brought me to have some assistance with my studies.

I’m a keen climber, skier and mountain biker. I love to be in the outdoors and exercise alongside my studies.

Tutoring Experience

I have been tutoring maths, chemistry, biology and physics for three years, working with students to prepare for their GCSE exams as well as generally improving their skills and knowledge. I am familiar with a range of different curriculums having worked with students sitting exams with different examination boards.

Tutoring Approach

I am able to give as much or as little support as needed, whether that be going through entire topics and explaining the work in detail or simply helping to brush up on subject areas and work through an assortment of questions. The main objective of the lessons will be to familiarised students with their subject and help them gain confidence in their abilities, whilst delivering the lessons in a fun and encouraging way. Learning should be enjoyable!

The lessons will largely be based around what the student would like to get out of the sessions. I am very flexible and able to work around what suits best. I am happy to alter the structure of the lessons to tailor to the needs of the student. Should students have any specific questions, homework pieces or past papers that they're struggling with, we can work through them together.

Pupils often get caught up in the stress that exam time can bring, however panic can lead to them losing confidence in their abilities. Working alongside someone can inspire self-assurance and encourage students to reach their full potential!
