Eleni

I am a fully qualified teacher with a first-class degree in Greek and Latin literature from the University of Athens, Greece. I also hold a MA in Art History with distinction from the University of Essex and I am awaiting my VIVA for my PhD research. Whilst at the University I had lessons in German language and I hold an intermediate degree (Mittelstufe) in German language from Goethe Institut in Athens.
I specialise in GCSE and A-level in Modern and Ancient Greek, History, Latin and Classical Civilisation. I also teach Art History in all levels as well as German for beginners.
I am known for my patience and enthusiasm and I am passionate about passing on my enthusiasm for my subjects to my students.
I am getting results with all abilities and ages and I always encourage my students to set high standards for themselves.
My aim is to inspire them to find satisfaction and enjoyment in studying.

Tutoring Experience

I hold QTS and I have taught my subjects for over twenty years without gap. I used to prepare students for the University exams back in Greece and I have also tutored throughout my undergraduate and postgraduate studies.
I have developed an expertise in Classics, History and Modern Greek through this and I am able to teach individuals from primary through to undergraduate.

Tutoring Approach

I am a patient, friendly and approachable tutor, who tries to inspire individuals. I endeavour to create a learning environment that is supportive, rewarding and enjoyable and I like to tailor my approach to each student's ability.
If a student needs help with particular tasks, those are always my priority. I am very familiar with the exams requirements and I can help my students to achieve their best outcome.
I can also provide notes and study material and I use a combination of email support, exercises and discussion to overcome any difficulties.
