I have recently submitted my PhD in the History of Art at the Warburg Institute, London. Over the past three years, I have worked as an Art History lecturer in both Italy and the UK, gaining experience and refining my teaching practice. I also have over ten years experience teaching Italian language and culture, which complements my academic and cultural expertise.
I have over ten years’ experience teaching and tutoring both Art History and Italian, working with students across a range of ages, levels and learning contexts.
In Art History, I currently teach a museum-based module at University College London, which allows students to explore London’s rich artistic heritage first-hand. I have taught A level History of Art as a private tutor and in collaboration with several charities, helping students achieve excellent results. I also have experience teaching in schools and delivering public-facing sessions, and I regularly assess essays and exams, ensuring fair and rigorous evaluation. For over five years, I have worked as a tour guide, sharing my knowledge of art and culture with a wide range of audiences. My academic background, including a recently submitted PhD at the Warburg Institute, has been consistently recognised through scholarships, funding and high academic achievement.
In Italian, I have taught both GCSE and A level, supporting students in formal education, through charitable organisations, and as a private tutor. I currently teach six adult learners of varying levels, designing personalised lessons that respond to each individual’s goals and interests. My approach focuses on cultural immersion as well as linguistic competence, helping students develop both fluency and confidence.
As an empathetic and inclusive teacher, I aim to create a supportive environment that values collaboration, curiosity and critical thinking. I tailor my teaching to the needs of each learner, encouraging intellectual engagement and a lasting appreciation for the subject.
As an experienced tutor in both History of Art and Italian, with a solid background in UK and Italian educational contexts, I offer personalised, engaging lessons tailored to each student’s needs. My sessions (typically one hour) are suitable for school pupils, university students and adult learners. In History of Art, I support students with essay writing, argument structure, visual analysis and exam preparation, as well as offering broader guidance on topics such as thesis development and contextual research.
In Italian, I focus on building linguistic confidence through a combination of grammar, conversation and cultural content, and I have taught learners at GCSE, A level and adult education levels. My approach is student-centred and adaptable, whether assisting with homework, refining written work, or preparing for assessments. I aim to create a supportive, dynamic learning environment that fosters intellectual curiosity, skill development and academic success.
