Elizabeth helped me with Greek. She would always be willing to answer all my questions - even outside of lessons she would always give me a detailed response. She always sought to instil my confidence in Greek, even in times when I was overwhelmed with the subject. She was very kind and easy to work with and I can't recommend her enough.

We engaged Elizabeth to help with our son's preparation for his GCSE Latin exams. Elizabeth was thoughtful, incredibly well prepared, supportive during and after his lessons and provided excellent follow up for the tutee and the parents. She was able to quickly assess his learning gaps and provided him with the confidence (which was lacking from his school teacher) to address the gaps with a clear development plan.

Our only regrets. 1. We did not engage her sooner, would have saved many hours of unnecessary worry and 2. that she is not a teacher at his school! Elizabeth is an excellent tutor.

Elizabeth helped my daughter go from a D to an A in Latin in the space of six months, with a single weekly lesson. She identified knowledge gaps and structured lessons to fill these and provide a solid basis before progressing further. Elizabeth is a very competent and inspiring teacher. She is kind and caring, and bonds well with children. She even sent a little gift out (after asking my permission) as a reward for great effort and milestones reached. I recommend Elizabeth without hesitation.

Excellent. Very quick communication and questions to understand what was needed. Taught to specific needs after assessment of weak areas, and provided feedback and further learning materials for practice at home after each lesson. 15 year old son asking for more!

I taught myself Latin using the Cambridge Latin Course, book 1, but needed help going forward as to what to focus on / what is important / tricks to help memorise verb endings etc. Elizabeth has really helped me with all these things and every lesson has been a true joy. I am 47 years old, so an adult learner, and she has helped me understand and learn Latin much better than doing it on my own. She emails excellent feedback after the lessons and lots of extra worksheets and material. She is very organised, does not overwhelm, and is always kind and patient - so I would highly recommend her! I am still having lessons with her now, using Zoom.

Elizabeth is a very patient and thorough tutor who has made it possible for our son to learn Greek which he wanted to learn but wasn’t offered to him at his prep school. Nothing was ever too much trouble for her. Thanks to her the A* he gained at common entrance has allowed him to continue this language at his new secondary school. He has now selected Latin and Greek for GCSE. All possible because of Elizabeth. Can never thank her enough.

We cannot recommend Elizabeth highly enough. She taught my daughter Latin from scratch and this summer my daughter achieved a level 9 at GCSE. Elizabeth is a committed, professional, diligent tutor. After every lesson she emails comprehensive lesson summaries and is always quick to respond to queries between tutor sessions. Her enjoyment of the subject is infectious - my daughter says "Elizabeth's lessons were fun and she is really motivational". Do not hesitate to choose Elizabeth if you are looking for a tutor - she is the best in the area, so much so, we were happy to make a 70 km round trip to her tutor sessions.

Excellent tutor. My son has struggled with Latin and Elizabeth has really helped him gain those extra marks with exams and also with his confidence with the subject.

Elizabeth is incredibly professional to deal with, sending detailed notes on getting to her house (including a photo of a tricky section!) reminder emails close to the event and a request for what my son's goals and current texts were. Her manner with children is lovely, very caring and knowledgeable. My son is happy and learning quickly it appears. And I am happy to recommend.
