I teach classical piano lessons at my home in Portsmouth. I have a large and responsive upright piano which is great for learners, and an electric piano for group lessons and very small children. Alongside this I offer support with music theory exams, music GCSEs and A-levels.

Tutoring Experience

I have a masters degree in piano performance and an ABRSM Diploma in Instrumental Teaching. I have taught piano to all age groups and abilities, and have successfully taken students through their exams, up to and including ABRSM Grade 8 piano and ABRSM Grade 5 Theory.

Tutoring Approach

I believe anyone can learn the piano, and I particularly enjoy working with adult students who never had a chance to learn as a child, and individuals who struggle with traditional learning styles. I am also a qualified yoga instructor, and I bring these principles into my piano lessons to support with relaxation, focus and performance anxiety.
